Killjoy's Bedroom Collection Mission

Globally, people spend on average 8.5 hours per week playing video games. If people spent 0 hours per week playing video games, imagine how many new Harvard graduates there will be to solve the world's most difficult problems.

But here is a question for all of you: Why do people play games over living a real life? Biased researchers have wrote numerous studies based on this, but the real answer is not as complicated as they would suggest: Games are joyful experiences, and one of the biggest joys in life is surprises. Games happen to provide people with more joy and surprise over other activities. However, like all addictions, nationwide addiction to games can lead to the collapse of our entire planet.

In my previous ~20 lives, 15 of the worlds I was apart of was destroyed by people's love towards video games. I am sick of being in this neverending time loop where my decisions could not make the world better. This blog is the first step towards my mission of saving the planet.

If games were to be deeply analyzed, the element of joy will slow die as moments of triumph will be understood as yet another trope. If people understood how video games work, then video games will be no longer needed in this world and naturally die out, which will lead to people spending all that hours doing better things such as working two extra hours everyday or reproducing for the future.

Thus, I am here to do my part to win the spiritual war of eradicating video games forever. My blog Killjoy's Bedroom Collection mainly showcases long analysis of games that seeks to reduce the joy gamers experience from games with three simple steps:

  1. Gamer: "I like games."
  2. Gamer: "I am interested in people with similar taste, let me read this blog!"
  3. Gamer: "Oh no, now that my understanding of game is perfect, time to experience joy by working on real life projects that increase nationwide social cohesion stats and personal economy projection."

While my methods are highly effective, the work that needs to be done is not as simple as it seems. My work can be extremely stressful at times as in order to analyze games, I have to play them, and I hate them. Thus, Lovepon sometimes will use Zatsudan (rambling about random things) as a prime strategy to not only relax, but also inspire comrades to join this great movement. Two video games one stone!

Together, we will analyze every game in the world, and kill all video game induced joys.
